Congratulations...

...to the wonderful volunteers of Santa Ana who lead that region's conversation groups, coordinated by the Municipality. Thank you to the Santa Ana Municipal Council for inviting us to make a brief presentation on Community Conversations at their session on February 28th, and to Andrés Acuña, who coordinates the program on behalf of the Municipality, for all the work he does to make the program tick. He bestowed a special award to the volunteers present that night: pictured with some of their smiling Conversation Partners are Marilyn Brandon (seated, front right), Carolina Salas (standing immediately behind her), Patricia Olkowski (standing, far left) and Jay Morrison (at the back). Thank you for all you do!

New Groups in San José!

We were very pleased to open four new English groups in downtown San José this week. At left, photos from the Tuesday lunch-hour group, including one Partner who traveled from Puntarenas to be in the group! We had a wonderful time and are looking forward to future sessions. As we have mentioned the groups filled very quickly but we are always looking for ways to expand and add new groups. More in our twice-monthly bulletin and in this space...

Estábamos muy contentos al abrir cuatro grupos nuevos de inglés en San José centro esta semana. A la derecha, fotos del grupo de inglés del 11:30 am de los martes, ¡incluyendo a un participante que viajó desde Puntarenas para poder asistir! Los representantes de CR Multilingüe disfrutamos mucho de las sesiones y esperamos muchas conversaciones más. Como hemos mencionado, los grupos se llenaron muy rápidamente, pero siempre buscamos expandir y abrir nuevos grupos para acomodar a más personas. Más aquí y en nuestro boletín bimensual...

Como anunciamos en nuestro boletín más reciente (verlo en español acá), tenemos dos grupos nuevos de italiano disponibles, ambos en Pavas: uno los jueves a las 7 pm en la casa de un voluntario, y el otro los viernes a las 4:30 pm en la Panadería Pío. Ambos grupos están co-organizados por el Círculo Cultural Italiamos. ¿Interesados? Por favor escríbanos...
